After I started my legal practice in 1986, I experienced the Japanese bubble economy from its emergence and collapse, and handled various domestic and international cases during the turbulent times of Japanese economy.  The major cases which I handled include advice on corporate governance and compliance, and crisis management cases involving corporate scandals.  I also handled joint ventures, licensing, outbound and inbound investment projects, M&A, international loans, domestic and cross border litigations, as well as domestic insolvency cases (civil rehabilitation, corporate reorganization and out-of-court work outs). 

After I handled the above-mentioned types of cases as a partner of Nishimura & Asahi until the end of 2023, I retired from the firm amicably at the age of 65 and established Yoshinori Ono Law Office in January 2024.  Taking advantage of the flexibility of a private firm, I am ready to provide comprehensive legal services that are fitting to the various needs of each client in the most efficient and effective way.

For large-scale cases which require the involvement of multiple lawyers or cases that require special expertise, I can take measures which are best for my clients, taking into consideration both quality and cost, by collaborating with other firms that are most suitable for the case in question.
